Cousins or Friends?

I’ve always believed that songs and stories are cousins. They go together like the whimsy slippers you put on, on a summer holiday.

Think about it.

Movies have soundtracks that make certain scenes unforgettable, folklore have songs that make them endearingly relatable, and songs themselves tell stories that pick at the chords of your heart.

I think novels should have their ‘follow-come’ sountracks too.

A certain tune playing in your head while you read through hate turning to love, and love morphing into greater love with a second-chance curve.

 

The Feelings Playlist

Sometimes when I write, I’m not just seeing those scenes in my head.

In my mind, there are moments in Forever Yours that already have songs attached to them.

You know how a good song can make you remember a version of yourself? A good story can do the same thing.

We did something dangerous. We made a combination of both!

An actual soundtrack inspired by the emotional world of Lara and Adam. I wanted you to experience their story beyond the pages of the novel. I wanted you to hear their heartstrings in the musings of a guitar and feel how they feel more deeply.
